ClusterCS 2.1.10 Update

ClusterCS has reached its 2.1.10 update and we are happy to tell you about what we have been working on for the past weeks.

We are preparing to launch a new system for user management and modules for resellers to match the demand we have received from the market.

What does that mean?

We have created a new system in which users can log-in with secondary accounts and have access only to features that are limited from the main account in a branch-like environment. This allows server-owners to provide access to their customers, developers or sysadmins only to certain features.

There are 3 main components that will be released related to the main ClusterCS server and domain management interface:

    • Reseller module – this allows the creation of account owners that can manage their own domains within a server or a cluster. Limitations can be imposed, including access to certain software features of the server setup;
    • Sub-account feature – this type of account will provide access per domain to specific resources selected by the domain owner;
    • New login system – we are decoupling the main user login system from the centralized billing system. This will create a very secure environment that can be accessed only based on separate user credentials and removes concerns related to vulnerabilities in 3rd party utilities like billing system, ticketing etc.
      ClusterCS user interface essentially turns into a complete black box accessible only by secure user authentication without relation to any 3rd party software thus maximizing account security.
Bugfix:
    • Switching HAProxy version: Switching HAProxy from whatever old version it is, to the newer 1.9.4 would still leave the old executable, causing manual restarts to use it.This did not affect ClusterCS functionality, as ClusterCS used the correct path.

Let us know what you think of this update and if you don’t have an account, give it a try!
